The 11th Atlanta Blues & International Music Festival
Celebrating Atlanta’s Cultural Musical Impact On The World

12:00 – 9:00 pm
Woodruff Park - Downtown
Dear Potential International Mall Partner:
We are excited to announce the 11th ATLANTA BLUES & INTERNATIONAL MUSIC FESTIVAL set for September 10th & 11th – 2011 in Woodruff Park downtown Atlanta. This year’s event is shaping up to be the largest event of its kind anywhere in the Southeastern United States. The 11th Atlanta Blues & International Music Festival will attracts people from all over the nation. This event pays tribute to the Blues, R&B, Hip Hop, Gospel, Rock, Reggae, Latin, African, and to the abundance of great music coming out of the city of Atlanta impacting the world.
A Tribute To First Responders
The Atlanta Blues & International Music Festival pays tribute to the victims and the First Responders of the September 11th - tragedy at The World Trade Center in New York City. The First Responders Tribute is set for the second day of the Festival - Sunday September 11th in Woodruff Park in downtown Atlanta. This tribute consists of gospel music being presented by the various church choirs, solo gospel performers and groups. We want this to be a very spirited recognition celebration of all of those who lost their lives in the 9/11 tragedy. We want to show the world and their families that they are not forgotten.
We would like for a representative from first responders organizations such as fire fighters EMS, police, etc., to come and be represented at this event in downtown Atlanta. The Atlanta Blues & International Music Festival will present awards to the various first responder organizations. We are aware that fire fighters, police EMS persons risk their lives on a daily basis to serve the public in the best way they know how. These brave men and women are the first ones to respond to natural disasters, fires, floods and various other kinds of natural events. Often they are forgotten and somewhat taken for granted until there is a tragedy that they must respond to.
The 2011 Anniversary of 9 –11 via The Atlanta Blues & Music Festival will be a memorable one as festival coordinators are committed to bringing this issue to the public attention so that none will forget the bravery of those who lost their lives in this tragedy.
Speaking more about our observance of 9-11 - we are pleased that popular Atlanta area minister - Rev. Timothy Fleming of Mt. Carmel Baptist Church will sing and speak words of wisdom and talented musician Brent Lee will round our observance during our tribute to the First Responders of 9-11 at The Atlanta Blues & International Music Festival.
